Qatar International Regatta (Sail the Gulf -2013) will be held from 19 – 23 February 2013 at Doha Sailing Club. This a well run regatta that is gaining good attendance from the sailors from Northern Europe. As the conditions are much warmer in Doha with excellent charter boats (the boats are stored in air-conditioned boat shed when not in use). The Notice of Race is here.
After Doha for the sailors is Oman Mussanah Race Week 10-16 March. The hosts have free entry and free boat charter for Hobie 16 sailors. That is right free entry and boat charter. Another very professional run regatta in a warmer climate when some of the Northern Hemisphere is still feeling the cold. A great way to start the 2013 Hobie racing season with some early racing. See the web site for more details.
