Another item that stumped me for awhile was the "Disable BBCode" box just below the response box was checked. When this is checked I don't think any images, urls, quotes, or smilies work.

Do not have this box checked on any responses or it will not show correctly. Also, if it does not show the pictures when you preview your message, they will not show if you when you post.
