Here are some Fishing Tips that many of our Outback kayakers recommend.

Trolling
You've done it under the power of a motor...now do it under the stealth silence of your own leg power and the Mirage Drive. With our hands free propulsion, there is no more wrestling with a cumbersome paddle. Bait your hook, place your rods in the rear molded-in rold holders, let out some line and head to your favorite fishing spot. A great technique for kayak tournament fishing.

Tethers
Your molded-in rod holders are designed at an angle to hold the rod for maximum usability and holding angle. Take advantage of the many different padeyes and tie a tether onto your reel. If that big one comes along, he won't take your reel for a ride.

Multi-tool
There are several brands of multi-tools on the market that are a great accessory to have. Most include things like pliers, a knife, and a screwdriver head. They work great not only for fishing, but for untieing knots, adjusting steering lines and many other functions.

Use Half a Paddle
When on your fishing trips, reducing the amount of clutter around you is always important. Break down your paddle into two pieces and put it behind you to get it out of your way. Since you will be primarily using the Mirage Drive, you don't really need to have the paddle at your side at all times. And by having half a paddle directly behind you, it is easily accessible for pushing away from the dock or backing up.
