The CBS Morning Show best described Hank Parker when introducing him as “the rod-n-reel answer to Michael Jordan, in popularity and talent!” Hank has enjoyed a storied professional bass fishing and outdoor television host career that continues to grow each season! His accomplishments on the professional bass fishing tournament trail support the fact he is one of America’s greatest bass fishermen to ever compete.

Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine, is among the most popular on television today and continues to entertain and educate viewers of all ages and skill levels. Hank’s professional fishing career began in 1976 when he began fishing the National Bass Association Tournament Circuit, winning their national championship in his first season. The following two years he fished both the National Bass Association and American Bass Association. With this success and help from newly acquired sponsors, Hank began fishing the Bass Anglers’ Sportsmen’s Society (B.A.S.S.) Tournament Trail-winning the BassMaster’s Classic in both 1979 and 1989. He also was the first angler to win the Grand Slam of Bass Fishing, which included the Classic, B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year, and the B.A.S.S. SuperBass Tournament. Amazingly, Hank finished “in the money” in 76% of all the tournaments he fished during his B.A.S.S. career.

Dave grew up in the Florida Keys where he learned to fish at about the same age he learned to walk! He hosted the Telly Award winning TV show, Fishing Across America, where he won The Outdoor Channel’s Golden Moose Award for Fan Favorite Fishing Show! Dave has fished in 37 countries on 5 continents. He is an extremely diverse angler regarding all aspects of conventional and fly fishing.

Dave’s newest endeavor, Fish the Baja, can be seen airing on the Versus Channel! Dave has been fishing with Hobie Kayaks for the past 7 years. He recently bested a 28lb yellow fin tuna on light tackle that found him 8 miles off shore after a 2-hour battle in the new Hobie Pro-Angler. Some kids never grow up!

The outdoor television arena has never been more cluttered than it is today, and it takes an incredible story to stand out in the crowd. Backstage & Backroads is that story. Country music sensation and avid outdoorsman, Daniel Lee Martin introduced himself to the outdoor world in 2007, with a mixture of Country Music and travels to some of the most amazing locations around the world. Along with his Co-Host and better half, Julie McQueen, as well as their Hobie Pro Anglers, they have explored some of the most sought after waters including the Peré Marquette, Boca Grande, the Florida Keys, Abaco, Reelfoot Lake, Lake Kakagi and many more. Daniel Lee has released 2 critically acclaimed albums in the past 7 years and will be releasing his long awaited 3rd album in December of 2011. Julie is a full time model who spends much of her time overseas, but when she lands back in TN, it’s back to her real passion, the great outdoors.

Dennis Farrier

Experience:

Farrier has spent a lifetime on the water. His earliest memories include diving and fishing the kelp beds off Southern California and Baja from his surfboard. Den went on to head up a marine science laboratory at the Smithsonian Institution that designed and built ocean mesosystems and farmed the sea.

Den produced and appeared in the Hobie kayaking DVD that is included with each Hobie Kayak sold worldwide as well as “Hobie – Fish The World” that found him kayak fishing in Australia, Alaska, France, Holland, North Carolina, Louisiana, Mexico, and California.

Den Farrier is a teacher, guide, and passionate ambassador for our sport.

Lisa Densmore

A three-time Emmy winning host and producer for her work on Wildlife Journal (PBS), Lisa Densmore has spent the last two decades bringing the outdoors to the general public. A multi-sport athlete and avid hiker, paddler and angler, Lisa’s reeled in bonefish in Belize, rainbows in the Rockies and bass in the Adirondack backcountry. In addition to PBS, she has produced and hosted award-winning outdoor programming for a variety of networks including ESPN, VERSUS, Outside TV and the Outdoor Channel.
To go along with her outstanding television work, Lisa Densmore is a nationally recognized writer and photographer. In the last year alone, she has contributed to 30 regional and national magazines, including Adirondack Life; Camping Life; Eastern, Northwest, Southwest Fly-Fishing; Mountain Sports & Living; and Colorado Outdoors, about her various fishing adventures. Nature photography and fishing are some of her great passions, both made easy thanks to the hands-free advantages of her Hobie MirageDrive kayak.
Off the water, Lisa is a member of the Board of Directors of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, through which she encourages others to pursue their outdoor dreams. She is truly a role model and mentor for women and others interested in fishing and backcountry pursuits through her various photo exhibits, slides shows and workshops.

Mike produced and appeared in the Hobie kayaking DVD that is included with each Hobie kayak sold worldwide, as well as the new “Hobie – Fish The World” DVD. He is a professional Kayak Fishing Guide, and is an FFF Certified Fly Casting Instructor.

He loves surfing, diving, and fishing, and most days can be found sharing his passions as a fishing guide and casting instructor in Southern California waters. In his earlier days, he was a Naval Aviator, surfboard shop owner and high school science teacher and coach.

Tyler Befus

Tyler Befus is 12 years old and has been fly fishing since he was old enough to go along in a child backpack. He started fly casting and fly tying at the age of three and landed his first fly caught trout on his own shortly before his third birthday. He is the youngest member of the Ross Reels USA / Ross Worldwide Outdoors, Rio Products, Inc., Oakley, Simms Fishing Products, Whiting Farms and Eumer Tube pro staff teams and is a Signature Fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants. He currently holds I.G.F.A.Junior World Records for sheefish and kokanee salmon.
