Mounting in that area can be a bit tricky because of the AI dagger-board slot. I have mounted a RAM ball mount there on each of my AI's. Best is to have the hull raised so the center of the middle hatch is about shoulder level (while sitting or kneeling) to get the most comfortable position for you, as your body will be up against the hatch opening for your arm to go beyond the dagger-board slot and then up around the mesh pocket well. Can be done, but is not very comfortable for very long if you are bending over the hull to start with.

Thank you very much. It is the first time I am trying to open a hole on the hull. I hope not to destroy the yak.

After the first hole or two, it gets (almost too) easy, drilling and cutting on your new boat. Go for it! You will feel much better once it's done. :)

hahaha then I will try to to open the first 20 holes on a concrete wall.
