Preface...
I have very limit experience with my 2013 AI, and even less experience fishing from it.
However, I do have 5 years of experience fishing from my 2010 Revo 13 in pretty much all waters including ocean.
My question/issue is mainly concerning the main sheet line that runs behind me, and the mere fact it can get tangled with various lures attached to my fishing rod behind me. I've already had to sacrifice a treble hook from one of my Rapala's when my main sheet line swung near the rod and caught the lure. It then proceeded yank the rod out of the holder, but landed the rod on my port side tramp. Easy recovery of the rod, but had to snip off one of the hooks on the treble. With that, I could not get the barbed tip back out of the main sheet line as it laid in there so perfectly, so it will stay there until it sinks into my hand at some time.
Is there a better line that has been used by others for the main sheet that still grips good in the Harken cleat, runs smooth through the roller blocks, and resists hooks much better than the factory main sheet line?
Or, do I just have to suck it up and be way more careful with my rod storage, and hook location for rod staged lures?
Thanks guys (+gals)!
