Post subject: Evolve ultralight battery case size difference?

Is there any technical difference between the Evolve battery ultralight type 1 and type 2 specifications?
My Ultralight type 2 battery was returned for the recall and they sent back a larger type 1 battery.
Why are there different sizes? Is the larger battery a better design? Tech specs and capacity look the same.
No longer fits in my round hatch on my 2012 Outback.

Torqeedo has discontinued the ultralight size battery housing. Unfortunate, but the new housing has a larger lithium capacity.
