Matt

Love the seat pad now being available. I have added a similar type that sits on top of the Hobie seat.

I see that these are designed "to replace the standard foam seat pad". All my Hobie seat bottoms and seat backs are one piece - so how exactly do you remove the old one and replace it with the new one? They appear stitched together... or am I missing something.

Obviously not having a seperate cushion is a real advantage

TIA

Very old seats were sewn together in one piece. We have built the seats for years as two pieces held together at the hinge point with Velcro flaps and the plug fasteners.

I suppose that a person with the older seat can place this new one underneath the original pad... using both.

The new inflatable seats adapt easily to the more recent older (removable) sewn seats that use a velcro strip. Simply cut off the bottom and velcro the new seat pad on as shown below. What a pleasant difference --- aaaaaaaaaaah! 8)
