I was asked if I could help and of course said yes. I have helped out with a few up down control repairs and line replacements. A friend's 2006 Adventure had been vanalized. Both the up/down lever and the steering lever had been "borrowed". It must have been a packrat because in return a broken steering lever had been left.

Inside the hull I was able to tell that everything was still attached to the cranks and both the up and down and the steering were still functional. I found the spring (just large enough to go over the up/down control shaft and the nylon washer for it. I found another spring about 1" diameter by 2" long...nothing else.

Would that be the correct spring for the steering lever and should there be a washer there also?

Thanks for any advice.

Roger

Thank you very much. Appreciate the quick feedback. That is exactly what I was hoping to see. I'll grab a couple handles and have the boat back in action.

Thanks again. Roger
