Gave up on getting any sense from Trailerex about bars for my Trailerex trailer, They are still clueless what I'm asking for and say Hobie patented it and to go to Hobie.
My Hobie dealer was nice and is crediting me the amount of the special ordered Trailerex ProAngler cradles which I couldn't use without the Trailerex bars I couldn't find, so I gave up on buying a ProAngler altogether and....
SO,
I bought an Outback today, and a second mirage drive both with Turbofins and lots more. :D  :D Picking it up tomorrow or Tuesday, it fits my Trailerex stock trailer.

Now that some of you have had time on the books with the Trailex & Hobie cradles....have you had any issues with storage on the trailer? (i.e. hull deformation). I only have space in my garage for the boat & trailer with boat on top.
Thx,
Jack

Actually, I did learn a couple things.

I returned and didn't get the Hobie cradles.... because i got an Outbak and had ProAngler cradles ... Still ... I learned something.

And this applies to any kayak/storage/trailering.

I stored the fully loaded Outback (all equipment on it and inside it) including 5 extra PFDs and stuff I "might need" on top of the Trailerex trailer, and I used BUNGIES in addition to the straps my last trip home last year, stored it that way for months and of course I got 1 small oilcan dent on each side in the bottom of the hull in front close to the drivewell. (I had most crap stowed up front and more bungies on the bow to the trailer)

I got the dents out with hot water+towels after trying Black Garbage Bag and sunshine (which improved them some)

I learned:
1) Don't use bungies, they apply constant tension
2) Don't store kayak with an extra 50-75 pounds of crap in it.

(This is probably common sense to MOST people, but wasn't to me because my prior kayak was a flat-bottomed hull on a flat plywood utility trailer.)

Other than that .... no problems, though I was looking at the bunks (not really cradles on my stock Trailerex) MIGHT make/carve/shape some better-fitting "wooden carpet covered shaped to fit better" Bunks or longer/wider bunks to spread out the surface area which contact each other kayak to bunks/cradle surface area.
