How long does the air stay in ur seat pad it seems like mine goes away kinda quick I have the cap tightened down as tite as I feel is enuff.

I have never had mine deflate at all !!! the cap is just finger tight.

These should hold air. Test the seat for leakes by placing underwater or spraying with soapy water. I have one that I use... no leaks.

I'll check for leaks tonite I love the seat when its fully inflated I thought maybe it was due to my size being I weigh in @ 240lb and its done this since purchase just thought it was normal but had to ask.

We will replace the seat if defective.

The engineers have told me that the underside of the valve can wear. Newer versions will have a patch there. They say that that type of leak is easily patched.

Mine already has a hole in the material in the seat where the seat meets the valve base. I saw it bubbling this weekend. It has not seen more than 10 uses and was deflating within the first half of its time with me.

I am not too surprised as the same problem developed on my sea air sport air cushion, but that one lasted 2 years.

What can I do?

Two options...

Call your dealer and file a claim, return to the dealer for warranty replacement.

or...

Use some shoe goo or other patching material.

Actually, one more combo option: Try a fix and use it till you can get it to the dealer or the replacement comes in.

It is designed to be used instead of the original pad, but you can double up.

My dealer Austin Kayak changed my seat pad no problemo.

Just got the new one. They seem to have been extra careful packing the seat this time. Check you seats when they come in.

I have 3 iComfort seats and all 3 of them deflate while in use. I did a leak check in the sink and here is what I found:

Seat 1: Two leaks on the top located on each side of the valve housing.
Seat 2: One leak on the top located on one side of the valve housing.
Seat 3: No visible leaks (although it does deflate over the course of a kayak trip).

It appears that all of my leaks are in the same trouble area. It is where a natural crease forms in the top of the seat where the valve body housing tapers to flatness. Any new ideas on the best way to patch these? Tear Aid?

This is a follow up to my last post. I noticed that on my 3 i-Comfort seats the two that have visible leaks are of a different design than the newest seat which does not show a visible leak. Apologies if this has been covered in a previous thread (I searched, but did not find). In the following pics the bottom seat is the newest seat and it has the number 1012 by the valve. The older seats have a very prounounced valve body housing while the newer seat has a lower profile valve body housing. This may explain why two show leaks and one does not.
Does anyone have any insight on this? I would hate to think I have to pitch these and go back to the standard seat bottom.
