PA taking on water

I have found that I am taking on about a cup or two of water every couple of hours. Calm waters by the way. Before filling the boat with water and looking for leaks is this a common problem? maybe leaking around the rudder? Any thoughts.

I have used my PA twice so far for about 5 hours each time. the first time there was a slight chop and the second time was calm. I did not see any water inside.

Take a hard look at the drain plugs in the back. Make sure there not cross threaded and the seals on them are ok. I have been in some nasty chop in my PA and havent had water like that inside.

Last week I did the shop vac and soapy water check looking for the leak as directed. No such luck. Today was my first chance to have the kayak out for an all day trip. I put in approx. 7am and got out at 2pm. There was about 2 gallons of water in the hull. I went home and supported the PA with 4 horses and began to fill it with water. It didnt take to long before the starboard scupper behind the seat had a steady stream coming from it. UGH! I emptied the water and inspected the area. At the base of the scupper there is about a 1 inch crack. It appears that the plastic is very thin in that area. Now the big question....What do I do about it?????
