| Post subject: | Defective yellow hobie mirage? |
Three years ago we purchased two new Hobie Mirage kayaks, one bright yellow and the other bright blue. We have only used them while camping at the lake and at all other times they have been stored in our garage on a kayak stand under two white cotton sheets. The blue kayak still looks like new. The yellow kayak has faded horribly, it is a very soft yellow now. We are worried that the hull strength is being compromised. Does anyone know why this has happened? Is this normal fading for the yellow color? Any suggestions or comments welcome. Elinor |

I am surprised to hear that the yellow has faded badly, but some colors fade differently than others. Can you send a picture? Send to [email protected] for evaluation. |
