I have been lurking and learning from the Hobie forums for some time so I guess it's time to "get my feet wet" and jump in here and give a little back. After a lot of research I decided on the Hobie Revolution which I purchased last May from Hobie Northwest in Seattle, Washington. I have been gathering experience and equipment to take advantage of the beautiful Puget Sound, local lakes and rivers, and the San Juan Islands. I am still learning what my capabilities and limitations are and hope to venture out even farther next summer.
Although winter is upon us, today was clear with no wind. A bit cold at 45 degrees. On a spur of the moment I decide to take my kayak for a quick trip. A kayak is perfect for this. I have a Lumix TS1 camera and took a few photos. It doesn't appear that I can post photos on this forum so I set up an account with Photobucket . Here's the links. Hope they work. These were taken near Everett, Washington. Launched at Picnic Point park. Went 2.7 miles across to Possession Pont State Park. This is one of the campsites on the Cascadia water trail system. I returned back to Picnic Pont just as the sun was setting.
