Question for Matt M. I am very close to purchasing An Outback (or) Adventure for me, (and) a Sport for my wife. Before I do, I would like to know what recent "upgrades to design" or feature changes, I may want to be on the lookout for. (for example I saw the newer twist and stow rudder, and the bigger hatch on an outback ). I am aware of your on going design improvements throughout any given model year. If there is a particular newly added feature that is out there,or soon to come, I may wish to hunt for that kayak rather then just take one that is on the showroom floor. Thank You for your time ! |

The Adventure is new, so nothing has changed during this year but the new hatches mid year. Sports too have no real changes but the Twist-n-seal hatches. That is something you can upgrade to. All boats built after January have the new hatches. The Twist-n-Stow rudder is only on the Adventure. The Outback and Sport still use the original rudder. The Outback saw a few changes in the 2006 model year change (last August). It has a large hatch like the Adventure or Quest up front, a large Twist-n-seal hatch just in front of the seat and a mesh pocket just ahead of that. No other change will happen this year. |
