Post subject:  Replacement pedal for older Mirage drive

I have a Jan 08 Oasis reciently damaged a pedal - the shaft is ok. Two Hobie dealers have tried to sell me the whole pedal and shaft for arround $80 , this seems a bit excessive even for Hobie. the pedal is held in place witha lock nut how hard could it be for hobie to sell the pedal individually. Any ideas

We offer replacement pedals that are separate from the crank. Left pedal only is part number 81221011. Right pedal is 81222011.

It's possible they were mistaking yours for the older style. We used to use bicycle style pedals that threaded into the crank. We only have left replacements of these now, so if someone needed to replace the right side, they would need an entire right crank/pedal assembly.

Here's a link to a couple pages from our parts catalog showing the MirageDrive parts guide:

Thanks for the reply I did quote that number( 81221011)to the dealer but he said that the pedal was only available with the crank . I have included a photo of the pedal removed from the crank. Is there a dealer in Australia that just sells the pedal?
