I'm debating removing the straps so that I can wear my reef boots all the time. Do you guys utilize the pull stroke? Would you miss it? |

I know of several people that have removed the straps and prefer it that way. |

As OffRoad mentioned many have said they removed their straps. I use flats boots and just moved the straps out all the way which is what I prefer. I can twist my foot just a bit and the straps hold my foot in place when I'm looking around and not pedaling. |

My (size 12) clodhoppers don't even come close. Hi-top Converse's won't work. Much less Ray Guards. Barefooted or sandals are the only way. |

I use my straps all the time. A little twist locks the foot in. So they help hold my feet in position and also pull back on the pedal for more power. They work great! I also use some sort of Aqua-shoes -- not too fat, great grip on the pedal, no irritation from the strap, etc. |

Even though many remove the straps I still use them. I ware a water shoe I picked up at Costco made by speedo and it works great. |
