I've been trying to compile a list of changes occurring from the 08 Adventure to the 11. If I buy an 08 what am I missing out on?

If someone in the know has time could you list the design changes for me. Much appreciated. Thanks.

The mains ones (off the top of my head) you'd be missing out on would be:

- No click-n-go Mirage drive locking mechanism
- No t-handle up/down system for the rudder
- Probably an older (V1) Mirage drive

Cheers,

Mike.

Add to that, the 2011 has the brand new rudder system that older boats don't have. And the seat of the new boat will have the self inflating adjustable lumbar support.

The 08 would be a new one. Saw it in a shop and was thinking of making an offer because of the age. Warranty starts from date of purchase, right?

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to go with an 11...... unless some big updates are coming for 12  Speaking of 12s, isn't the OR show happening soon?

Wow! A new '08! That's interesting. I would hope that there is a BIG discount. But you're correct, you'd have a warranty on that boat too.

The '08 had a better rudder system if it had the lever arm for raising and lowering the rudder.

Tell you what, if you buy it and want to switch to a T-handle system, I"ll swap you my parts (2011 model) for yours.

Best thing about the 2011 boat over the 2008 is the click & go drive lock system. IMO that alone is worth the extra dollars.

Yup. Very true.

I'm not sure that the opinion above is held by the majority of users. Personally I'd never switch to the lever system from the T handle system. So try them both out, see what you like. Obviously it's a personal decision.
