I thought I'd share my thoughts on the new kona since there aren't a lot of posts on the paddle kayaks and thoses who might be interested in owning one are really at a loss to find actual user posts.

Been out a few times and I've got to say I'm very impressed with the comfort the way things are laid out .. easy to reach / handy. the boat tracks well with one or two passengers . I prefer to move the seat to the middle position and go solo . It tracks well even in a medium windy condition. Very easy to fish out of . The only negative seems to be the anchor .. fairly light weight and does'nt grab like you need it to.

Has anyone designed a rod holder on the cheap? I'd be interested in hearing about it ps
