Hobie, I have a 2009 Revo and was checking out the 2012 Revo, the 2012 has a foam wedge under the seat. Should this be done to the older Revo's, is there a problem that i may avoid by doing it?

It's just extra flotation. You can always add pool noodles under deck if you want.

A couple years ago, we began putting closed cell foam in the kayaks to meet a certification by NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association). There is a certain ratio of foam to boat volume to get this safety certification. We put blocks in the side rails, and under the seats. The Pro Anglers use some of their foam for deck support as well and for support of ths sides, so it has two purposes.
