Can someone tell me if the crossbar for the sidekick is easily removed. My rig for hauling my wife Sport doesn't allow room for the cross bar. She'd like to have the ama, but not if it means we can't haul the Sport anymore.

The crossbar is in three pieces. The main part in the middle is about the width of trhe boat. The centerbar is normally left on the boat. The two extensions to the floats remove as easy as unclicking a paddle shaft (push of a button). The center bar could also be removed by loosening 4 well nuts. The center bar could then slide out to one side.
