This may be a odd question but I was wondering what most people do with the seat drain plugs while kayaking, open or closed?
Closed would prevent water from coming up and soaking your rear, however when open, when water washes over the side of the yak, I suppose that water would also drain when open which has it's benefits also.
What do you do when on the water, open or closed seat drain plugs?
Excellent question. I was kind of wondering a similar question. I've been in SOT kayaks and some of them have water coming up the seat scuppers and some don't. I've had my Revo 13 now for a few weeks and I have not put it in the water yet. The lakes are still pretty darn cold here. I'm about 195#. Does water typically creep up the seat scuppers on a Revo??? If not, I might as well launch it now and experience the Mirage Drive system for the first time here.
