In my Adventure I have always installed mine in front of the pedals and mast base shooting through the hull embedded in a foam former containing a bed of household silicone sealant. Access for the installation via the forward hatch. Works fine. Eagle Cuda/Lowrance sMap 250/350 GPS FF Combo. |

Thanks! That's the location I thought was good, but had an individual who wasn't sure because of possible cavitational problems. If your use of this area has been successful then I feel confident with it also. Thanks again. |

bar44, if it is in a Hobie AI or TI and you are sailing fast, then you do get a little bit of drop out from air going under the hull when the transducer is further forward. But as soon as you slow down to fishing speed, it is fine. Geordie |
