Hey gang,

I'm new to the forum and to Hobie yaks. I currently have a sea eagle explorer inflatable kayak and am looking for a hard body fishing kayak.

I'm trying to decide if I should go for the angler pro, or the outfitter. My fiancee and my 8 year old like fishing and kayaking. Thus, I am trying to decide if I'm better off with a double seater.

I've read some posts about the angler pro with a back seat for people under 100lbs.

One question I have regarding the outfitter is: How well does this yak perform with only one person in it? I expect I will be doing quite a bit of solo fishing. My sea eagle is terribly difficult solo.

Would it be better if my fiancee and I each had our own yaks?

I'm fairly new to yaks, but have been using canoes most of my life.

I'm looking for opinions and advice. Thanks.
