Those are featured on the latest models. The earlier ones (like my 2011 model) have molded in handles. They're not very user friendly, but they're very unobtrusive.

The newer handles won't fit flush if you have an older model Revo.

Why doesn't Hobie make a retro-fit that will work with older models... like the 2010? How hard could it be?????!!!!!!!

As I have researched buying one, people who occasionally paddle have warned me that the new handles can occasionally catch a finger during a paddle stroke if you're not careful. I don't know from personal experience, though. I would be happy with the old ones if you guys want to buy 2012 or 2013 boats to get the new handles!

They do. Works great, put them wherever you want! Inexpensive too. 8)

Hobie "Lift Handle" PN# 71190001. Order from your local dealer. A good screw size is 1/4 x 20 x 3/4" SS (depending on location) with flat washers inside and Nyloc nuts. I don't bother sealing the holes since they are above the water line. When fitting for location, be sure to have your paddle installed so the grip doesn't interfere with its mount. 8)

Thanks, I have to buy from either ACK or Amazon since I'm located in Costa Rica, and we don't have a local dealer here.

Neither one carries the item, so I'll have to wait to see if in the future.

Thanks again
Dan

Do a search on Amazon for kayak handle and you will turn up several. They aren't Hobie brand but if you have to use Amazon they have plenty available.

Another possibility is www.sunjammers.com. They are a Hobie dealer, they show the Hobie part on their website, they ship ( at least they do in US), and I have done business with them in the past and they are good folks.

Thanks Duncan, I can have them ship it to a company in Miami, that takes care of sending them here.
