 Post subject: Rudder up and down lines

It takes alot more force to lift or drop the evolve motor than it did the sailing rudder. Theres a lot of "slack" that comes out of the hull before the line tightens so you pull it up or drop it down. Is there a way to safely remove some of that slack?

Also not sure how but I lost the "Down" label somewhere. Anyone know if Hobie warranties this?

If your down label is already gone, you can just pull the line from the center if the down handle (long-nose pliers) and tie a similar knot just before the line engages the actual pull down of the rudder. Try it bit up and down to be sure there is enough slack. When happy with it, just cut off the excess, and pthe knot into the handle recess.
