Here are some picks of the Outback with the rectangular hatch that i found. Click on to view larger. It won't fit the Adventure or Revo, sorry.

It looks really neat and a very useful space. Though surely it's going to be a pain to raise the lid when seated?

Will this hatch work with older Outbacks, or did the hull shape change in that region? I have a 2012 Outback and was wonder if I could cut out a rectangle in my hull and install that bigger hatch.

I'm almost positive it fits Outbacks from even before 2012. The Outback in the
pic is i believe a 2011 or 2012, i know it's not a 2013.

The 2013 just has indentations to show where the hatch goes but the area where it's installed is the same. Once you purchase the hatch with the hardware it's easy to lay it out yourself.

Any Hobie dealer can order the hatches. They are used on the PA 12 & PA 14 - part number is 71707001

Looks Great. Are there any issues sealing the hatch? It appears to have one of the mounting holes where there is no material. Any problems with the indented area for the old round hatch?

So I have the parts and all, but was wondering if anyone else has gone with this option. Looking at it not sure about being able to easily open the hatch while on the water.

Any input out there.
