I have a Mirage Sport and due to back problems I can no longer lift and pull the kayak (I'm female, 5 foot 6 inches and 53kgs). I need a front wheel that I can take off and stow while kayaking.

Has anyone any knowledge of where I can buy a ready-made solution?

Alexandra

Hi Alexandra,
I saw a neat front wheel in a photo from (member NOHUHU) see this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=73&t=40346&hilit=+wheels
scroll down to the post from NOHUHU. I think the wheel is fitted in the mirrage drive hole. The other option is one of the many different kayak carts on the market that might help you. Some you can slip under the kayak rather than need to lift the kayak up in order to fit the Hobie cart in the scupper holes.

Hobie do a mini kayak cart part#72080 which should work as a front wheel with the Sport. See it on page 35 of the current catalogue.
