Fairly new to the mirage drive. What are the properties of the turbo st fins when it comes to adjusting the rigidity? ie. speed, resistance when peddeling. :?:

Not sure what you mean by "when it comes to adjusting the rigidity"...

Basically with the ST Turbo fins you can go as fast at a slower pedaling rate with greater resistance being felt by the pedaler than you can with the standard or ST fins. You can also get higher overall speeds than you would be able to get with the standard fins.

The ST turbo fins require longer fin masts and the greater area of the fins do put greater stress on the fin masts and drive if pedaled hard.

Most people seem to prefer the ST Turbo fins once they have developed the necessary strength and stamina in their legs and, I am guessing, but I strongly suspect, that it is the most popular upgrade option.

Nothing you can do will really change them much. I'd set the rear adjustment so that just about 1/8th inch of the rear fin top is still within the shroud.

You can try moving it up or down a bit but I don't think you're going to notice any real practical difference. I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences, which may be different from mine.

If you search the forum for some of Roadrunner's posts, where he talks about tuning the ST Turbo fins, you'll find some of the best information online about how to adjust the fins, etc.

Here is a link to one of the posts that Roadrunner has written, but if this isn't what you are looking for, there are other posts that talk about the same thing.

Thanks for the help. Did MR340 in tandem canoe last year and considering it this year in peddle division so any insight to efficiency with the mirage system helps. Thanks again!
