I am hoping someone can answer my question here. I have a Revo and the seat post hole has cracked allowing water to enter the kayak. Granted it's not a ton of water but it does leak enough that anything not stored in a dry bag gets soaked. This usually only happens when I am sailing the yak and taking allot of splash water into the cockpit. Hobie stepped up and replaced my hull the last time this happened so I don't expect them to replace it again. ( although that would be nice )
What I'm hoping for is a solution to the leak. I have ordered an after market seat as the Hobie seat lacks the support I need and the new seat will not use the seat post holes. I'm thinking of just filling the cracked hole with "something" to seal the leak (provided the new seat works and is more comfortable than the old Hobie seat. I still wish they would come up with an adaptation to fit the pro-angler seat in their other yaks but I guess it's not a high priority.) Does anyone have any suggestions on what may work to fill the hole and actually seal the crack too? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
