Post subject:  Help with seat straps

Had my outback for almost a year now and have never been satisfied with the backrest strap adjustment buckle. It slips all the time and you lean back and can not be supported while sitting strait up. My yak buddy has the same problem. I searched for an aftermarket solution but didn't find and. I tried tying a knot in the strap, but, it's not very precise. Any help would be appreciated. I don't like doin' the gangsta' lean in a yak.

Here is a thread on the subject: Seat adjustment slipping

Cowsgomoo didn't have success with my method, but mine have never slipped once. That could possibly be due to different buckles - I assume his came from Aus and I bought mine at West Marine.

I agree with you Herbaldew!
I've been using the camlocks since 2009 and haven't had a problem with them not locking. As I adjust my seat depending on whether I'm pedaling, paddling or sailing, the camlocks have been the best solution for quick adjustment.
