Hi I recently vought a new Adventure and have a question about the rudder. Whnever I turn the steer handle to the right all the way, the rudder will reach a point and then sort of "flop" all the way around against the hull. Then I have to put a little more pressure on the handle to turn it back left. Did I explain that ok?
I am just wondering if this is normal or if adjustments need to be made. It doesn't seem to effect steering and I have gotten the feel so that I avoid going too far right on the handle so it doesn't flop over but just wondering if I need to have something fixed.

Thanks

New boat - go back to your dealer and get him to set it up right while you watch him. It's good practise to get to know your dealer.

Probably tension adjustment of your rudder lines.
With the new type 2 rudder systems you can break a rudder pin and hardly notice - put your right hand under the rudder box and feel the ring on the bottom of the rudder pin. Nip the ring with 2 fingers with your eyes watching the top of the pin and rotate the pin from the bottom and hope it rotates at the top - if not you've broken your first pin.

Thanks Dave. It had actually done it since the day I brought it home before ever going on the water. I'll call the dealer and see what they say.
