I want to keep my kayak outside during warm months so it is easier to get in and out of the water. I can make a couple of stands to put it on (but welcome suggestions on the stand as well). Anyhow, it is a Revo 11. I see that Hobie makes a cover for 9-12' Kayaks, which I assume will work fine. However, any thoughts on covers Hobie or other, is appreciated

We store our 2009 Oasis, (bought new in 2010) upside down on a Malone Trailer and use the Hobie cover recommended for it. After 3 years of California sun and long winters, the cover is no longer water proof. A younger relative said to continue to use it to protect the Oasis from the sun and to keep it clean. Since we store it upside down on the trailer, a little water on the keel side won't hurt it.

The Hobie covers are really secure when fastened securely and have with stood 50 mph winds with no problems. In fact the covers/tarps on our Jon boat, stored a few feet away by our Oasis, have been sheared off during those high winds, and the Hobie cover stays secure. In the late spring, summer and fall, we don't secure the cover all that secure so we can get the Oasis moving or back w/minimal time.

I get real nervous when I hear someone talk about covering their kayaks under summer sun  I have seen kayaks virtually melt caused by the heat generated by the tarp covering a kayak. Especially a dark colored tarp/cover

I'm pretty sure they are made by Dannu kayak covers. They are really nice.
