I'm going to switch out the regular fins for the turbo fins. This is in the V2 model. What is the standard practice or Hobie recommendation regarding whether to use "Lock-tite" on the mast threads or not?

Yes, use loc-tite.

My turbo fin kit came with a small amount of blue Loc-tite.

Use blue Loctite, not red
