Are you able to buy just the hull at this pont? If not, why not?

Thank you

Hull only?

Yes, you can buy just a hull. The pricing is not attractive and we do not ship hull only boats. Dealers get a small credit for the returned drive, seat and paddle.

This is a pity. I have recemtly bought an Outfitter. I am very pleased with it when there are two of us but as I am likely to go out on my own a lot and normally on the coast, I would also like a solo and somewhat drier yak. Perhaps a Revolution or Adventure. The fully kitted out cost of these is prohibitive but a hull only would be ok and I could use the drive, seats, paddles etc from the Outfitter as they are not likely to be used at the same time.

Contact your dealer. You may be able to get a better deal. We just don't promote it because of higher costs of the seperate pieces. Something we leave to dealers primarily. If the dealer can re-sell the other parts they may be able to rationalize it.

We may have found a chink in the Hobie armor. That is pretty silly. If I need to WORK SOMETHING OUT to buy a boat because hobie doesn't to sell A KAYAK ALONE, then shame on them. I love my adventure, and I have an oasis on the way. You would think that if I wanted to remain a loyal hobie customer, they would not try to keep selling me things I wouldn't need. I didn't ask them to change the mold, just sell hulls as well.

Dealers should not be strapped with having to make deals, or find someone to buy the other parts.

That should change. It's just silly.

And thank you Matt for the response. I do appreciate all your information.

Thanks

You are asking us for something that is available through a dealer. No real issue here. As is typical when you buy something by the part... it will be a bit more expensive though due to the fact that it is not the normal stocking system. We get very little requests for hulls only.
