What maintenance should I be doing on my Revolution 13? I purchased it early this summer and I have used it many times (and love it).

any links?

I was hoping there would be some replies to this. I've got a 2008 and while I don't use it every day, I use it a lot and the most I've ever done is wash it, lube the drive and rudder, and keep silicone on the gaskets. I've seen some posts on here about adjusting the rudder and drive but I can't seem to find it with a search. Putting in the wrong subject I guess. Is there a FAQ on this? I guess I'm just a low tech guy.

IMO the Mirage drive needs the most attention followed by the rudder.
Here is the FAQ link to the Mirage drive .........see the last three maintenance tips in sequence 1,2,3...viewtopic.php?f=21&t=12798
Proper lubrication and cable attention/inspection/adjustment should do it.

Thanks for the info, I figured there wasnt much more other than lubing a few spots. Any opinions on wax lubes? I use them for my bike chains, resist contaminants and work very well in water.

The above is an example of a product, not the actual product I use.

ignore the wax lubrication question, works well for bikes, not for a submerged chain.

Hose your yak off after using it, wipe with a beach towel and store upside down on a rack or a trailer. We store ours upside down on a Malone Sport. We use the Hobie cover due to sun exposure. The cover will have to be replaced after this winter, but that is cheap protection for 3+ years for our Oasis.

We hose off the Mirage units and dry them off and store them inside to avoid the changes in temps. That, also, avoids tempting some thief from stealing a $1000 of Mirage units.

So you store your kayaks outside? I open all hatches, and pull it into the garage. The only outdoor location I could store my kayak is in my driveway, I live in a townhome. At least its on the water!

Other than the lubrication already mentioned I wipe the entire boat down with 303 protectant for uv protection every few weeks of use.
