Here are a few notes that may help someone with an outback. Most of these are still a work in progress but you get the idea:

I bought and installed that $40 Browning turkey hunting chair. Not my idea, credit goes to the guy on the steelhead forum. Cut the front legs down and raised the back a bit. On the water this morning I find it's absolutely perfect.

Plan is to keep it mounted in here folded down and strap it down securely with one of these web bungies. Working very well so far, able to flip boat upside down on top of 4runner or trailer. I prefer facedown on the gunnels.

Outback owners know how the center of gravity is rearward when you try to pick it up using the handles as you stand on the side.
This continues to bug me as my boat is stored on the back porch and getting it down the back steps, around the back of the house and to the car is tough.

I took one of my straps looped it around the rudder section then left some slack then ran it around the closer mid handle and put it around my neck and one shoulder.
My hand holding the strap while it's looped around that handle ...allows a little give-and-take.
Lifting the boat by the two handles in front of me was easy as the strap suspended the back and the whole boat was level as I walked around with it.
