Went out today and my mirage drive started feeling odd. Upon examination I found that one of the self-sealing nuts that tighten/loosen the cables had come off.

I've searched online but can't find out where to order a replacement nut. I think the part # is 8050111. I'd like to actually buy about 10 of them and "double nut" them to really secure them from coming loose.

I had a nut lying around the workbench that was the same size (7/16?) but I think the threads are a little different and I don't want to strip it to find out.

Any ideas whee I can buy some nuts?

Thanks!

Part diagrams in the catalog page 45 shows it as 8050111 NUT 1/4-20 HX NYLOCK

These nuts should be changed out after some number of adjustments or when replacing chains and cables. The threads cut the nylon.

Suggest ordering the Hobie hardware kit # 72020300......It contains 13 rigging items that includes, 12 pieces of the 1/4 x 20 nylock nuts.
I bought this kit four years ago and it is really handy to have on hand....you never know when you may need some stainless steel hardware or replace/add a line hanger or bungee hook.
