After four years interstate, I'm heading back to Adelaide, complete with my Hobie Revolution 11. Would be grateful to get feedback on best places to go yak fishing in Adelaide. Is the Port River OK? Any yak groups in Adelaide etc. Thanks, in anticipation.

Hi Novice.
Yes, Port River is still good, Snowdens Beach near the new Port Adelaide Sailing Club is ok for a beach launch. My favourite is Garden Island. Floating ramp, near Barker inlet, ship wrecks etc so ideal for my TI. It depends on how far you want to travel as places like lower Murray Lakes are still popular. I would however be the worlds worst fisherman so don't take too much notice.

I tried to organize a Hobie get together but after going out for dinner, it fizzled. The Hobie Big Day out saw over 30 islands at Seacliff so Shane from the Binks Dealership must be doing something right.

Cheers,
Brian
