Hi, My hobie adventure has developed a crack in the front of the mirage drive well. I have contacted hobie through "support" but have not gotten a reply yet. I bought the adventure as a demo boat from a dealer in Olympia, WA in 2011.

Having done some research (googling) on the subject it appears that a repair is very difficult and I may be able to get another hull. I really like my hobie adventure and would like to take it offshore, but I am very concerned about the steady leak.

Any tips for moving the process forward so I can get back on the water?

For any service, just contact a Hobie kayak dealer. They handle all warranty claims directly. To locate your dealer click the "Find a dealer" link at the top of this page.

The dealer that I bought my kayak from, Boston Harbor Marina Olympia, WA is no longer a Hobie Dealer. What do I do in this case?

Contact any Hobie dealer nearest to you. It doesn't need to be the purchasing dealer... we stand behind the boats, no matter where you bought, nor where you get service. Keep us posted.

Thank you for your reply, I emailed a nearby dealer.

Hopefully we can work something out and get me back out on the water in a Hobie Adventure!

Do not take it off shore. that crack will allow water into the hull at a very rapid rate when you are peddleing... You need to contact you Hobie dealer who sold you the yak and get them to start the warranty work and give you advice on what to do to use the yak. Just because you bought a use demo that does not void the warranty. Let the dealer work for you now that you need help. Good Luck
