My neighbour has been looking after his friend's Hobie 2 man kayak for a couple of years now and had it stored down the side of his garage. Last weekend in a cleanup, out came the Hobie and away went the joy of owning it (for him).

When it was put away, they rolled it in beside the garage on its wheels, and LEFT it on the wheels..... for TWO YEARS!

Yup, you guessed it, the hull is badly warped. I haven't seen it yet, but from the way they were talking, doesn't sound hopeful for the Hobie.

Jacques, that was brilliant. Good to know we can remedy such a major issue. I also saw a video on how to patch scratches/gouges with tarpaulin. I guess we can buy colour matched plastic bits to do repairs, though, instead of the patchwork pattern the video showed.

i forgot the wheels on mine also. i put black trash bags on the spot and left it in the sun. also inflated a small tire inner tube inside the hull. the dent came out after 2 days.
