I went to my local dealer this weekend to check out the new upgrades for 2015 & found the rubberized side pockets were on the PA17 but not on a 2015 Sport. I'm assuming these new pockets will be replacing the old pockets on all the Hobie kayaks eventually. Is this correct?

Yes - that is the plan I do believe. It's a running change, so not sure when they'll be made available to all kayaks. If I can get this information from the factory today I'll update my reply.

Only for specific fishing models I understand. The pockets best feature is to be "hookless".

So the new pockets will only be on the PA's?

I think PAs only... yes. From what I can see in our system. They are shown on 12,14 and 17.
