Original marketing for the Outback included S.U.V... Just a name... the boats are different over the years, so depends on year model.

For one change in 2009, Hobie upgraded the Mirage Drive to "V2" and the "click and go assembly".....that is a really good improvement/upgrade over the V1 Mirage Drive.
