I used the ram tubes but was wondering if anybody tried the scotty 444 compact flush mounts on the space before the molded in footwells start. Thanks. :)

not sure what the 444 is but the one in the Hobie Catalog works great for me.

thanks foc and sunjammer for answering his question, the 444 will not fit. the back nut is about an 1/8in too big. i went ahead and got the mounting base you showed sun jammer. did the hard ware come with the mount by any chance? I may use rivets but stainless bolts and nylok nuts seem to be better. i got the rod extenders as well hopefully it works out like i hope.

No, mounting hardware isn't included. I used sheet metal screw w/o backing nuts, never had had a problem with them pulling out.
