I was just wondering about a forum for the Outback. I noticed that the A/I has one and I want to believe that the Outback and Sport are going to become so popular that it would be benifical if they had thier own forum. Just wondering. 8)

Anyone else think we need forums for more models?

I don't want to divide the pie in too many pieces.

Brazos what would you want to discuses in an Outback only forum? If Hobie gets an idea of the type of topics them maybe they will create one.

I see the need for an Adventure Island forum, sailing kayak.
a fishing section to separate the rec yakers from fish yakers, I tend to agree with Matt to keep it as is.

If you follow this forum, you will see that it doesn't get a whole TON of action, and that is for all Hobie kayaks. I don't think there is enough traffic to warrant splitting off the OB or any other yak other than the AI. Plus, you will find that you can get good info about your OB based on other people's experiences with their Revo or Adventure. Just one forum like this makes it a lot easier to see all relavent posts rather than having to go through each sub forum.

I agree not a lot of action here, but it has lots of quality. I am a recent owner of an outback and I have found that the members have been very helpful for my dumb questions. :D

 I agree I think this is a wonderful forum. And I feel that most good ideas can be adapted to a o/b. I spend a lot of time wishin I was fishing. One thing that I like about this place is I can keep up. The other forum that I am a member of gets a couple of hundred post a day and I only have maybe two hours before work and two hours after work. I hope that I didn't offend anyone with my wondering. But this is the fastest growing sport in America. Should I say hang on. 8)

Please do'nt split things up too much having a pretty-much everything Hobie Kayak Forum & then a Fishing Forum is all that is needed we could miss some gr8 info or some of the gr8 inventoveness of some of the members here as a community we are stronger 2gether.

Yep--I agree--keep it as it is. When I first started posting back in 2004 there was almost no one posting about anything on the Hobie Forum. It might take 2-3 weeks before anyone responded to my posts, or posted on anything new because of the general lack of interest and traffic.

Then a few folks began replying to my posts after a week or so, and several of us began communicating on a more or less regular basis. It has obviously grown a lot since then, and it has been great to be a part of it. I have to thank Matt Miller especially for being the "official" company rep, and for answering many of the questions that the rest of us could only guess at. Thanks to all, and keep up the good work Hobie!
