So a nasty line of 20kt winds with gusts to 30 and pesky thunderstorms decided to come through and ruin my Friday, so I decided to do a little maintenance.

First I followed the Drive maintenance and inspection, very detailed and useful.

Next I was able to figure out why I was breaking my wrist to get the rudder to go up and down from the Twist and Stow FAQ maintenance thread. (Turns out Hobie/Dealership had fully tightened the drum nut)

GREAT stuff. The rudder was a real sore spot with me and this was a super simple 1/4 turn fix. While I was at it I managed to get my left turn to go full over, was about 1in shy before.

Thanks for the great forum Hobie. Now if I can just stop putting scrapes on the boat, im sure the poly isnt that thick <grin>
