Noted differences in 07 vs 08 Revolutions

Everything I had read had said no differences, but I did notice one...

This is my wifes 08 Revolutions aft end


And here is my 07 Revolution


Notice on the red one (08) that the support for the sail and T handle lift has been moved over a foot to the rear. I havent tried to sail hers yet, but I bet it makes a difference. Also as a side note, hers has an extra bungy to keep the T handle from getting in the way and flying around.

As a side question, in both there are these on each side inside the forward hatch:


Do they have a specific purpose in life or just a place to tie things to keep em from sliding aft?

I use those clips on the inside of the hatch to hang my battery packs for the FF. I have packs that use 8 AA bateries and a 9V battery connector. They go in dry bags which I hang there using little beeners. The transducer is mounted between the mast support and the drive well.

Heck, I thought that's what they were for. Pretty good idea since I had to drill and mount hardware for that purpose on my older T160i.

Most of the hatches have internal holes or brackets to lash gear. The 8" hatch holes are handy for frequently used gear you might want to retrieve quickly (here, a detachable mainsheet/emergency tow line and "boombat" for sailing):

Thanks for the picture RR. I think a light bulb just lit . If those light lines were tied to something you might want to retrieve, one wouldn't have to be sure that they stayed exactly in place while on the water. Is that what I am seeing?

Yes, that's the general idea. Kind of like fishing, but you already know what's on the end of the line! BTW, you can have more than two by knotting extra lines to loops on your existing lines. Also, you can use different colored strings for different items. You can use hooks or snaps for quick access, but I just use a noose for quick attachment and release.

There is nothing more frustrating than having gear adrift in the hull and having it become wedged in some area you can't reach!
