Hi Travis,

Yes, I had a wonderful time - thanks. I'm looking forward to going back as soon as I can, and before the winter is over.

As far as Mr. Snake goes, yes he did make an appearance when the others came out on the weekend and started mucking around where he lives. He went zooming by me and I was at first startled but then relieved to see that he was just a common Black Racer: http://www.snake-removal.com/blackracer.html

They're excellent swimmers, which explains what he's doing out on the island, and good at keeping the mice population in check; which is always a good thing when camping. We have a few around our house and although I don't particularly like snakes in general, I'm okay with this guy. In fact I'm thinking now about re-naming IR-43 to "Snake Island" :wink: .

Yeah, thanks Sun E for the warning (read sarcasm). It'd been nice to know where NOT to set our tents up beforehand. :)
