Hull pressure

I have a 81 H18. After sailing for 1 hour I remove the hull plugs and I get a pretty good amount of air pressure being released. Can I assume the breather hole is plugged? If so, where is this hole located? Is this pressure an issue? Can I leave it alone and sail the boat?

Yes your breather hole is plugged. It is located under the front cross beam. If your not sailing leave the drain plugs out or very loose. You can sail the boat. During the off season remove the front cross bar and clean / re-drill the vent.

I have a similar issue. Can the breather hole be locaed from the inside of the hull, through the access port? If so, can the breather hole be cleared without removing the cross bars by using smal gage wire (or pipe cleaner) by reaching into the hull?

Possible but the hole is very small and hard to find from the inside. I wouldn't try to re-drill from it the inside as you will run the drill bit into the crossbeam.

Drill a small hole, (very small, like 1/32"), in the access cover. I have holes drilled in all four of mine on the FXone. Those hulls are not vented.

I also had the +pressure issue and drilled a very small hole in each access cover. It works perfect!!!
