I hope you have experienced crew.
When coming back in pull your daggers back up.
Always wear your life jacket.
If you think conditions may be too rough , the probably are.
Have fun. Enjoy.

Welcome to your new addiction!

Safety first. Check all your gear for cracks, frays, kinks, holes, rust, and replace when in doubt. An ounce of prevention saves a pound of cure.
Learn to backwind the jib during a tack.
Read a good book on sailing a catamaran.
Ask every cat sailor you see for tips.
Ask any question you want on this forum, but before you do, do a search to see if your question has already been answered.
Make friends with a Hobie dealer and discover that a dealer's prices are very competitive, and are a font of knowledge and advice.

Well I wasn't able to go this weekend... ended up having a cold front blow through... but next week I will be headed out and there will be a cat sailing seminar at the lake so I can have some experienced people help me out.

Thanks for your tips!
